Maureen Allen joined the firm in 1992 and has over twenty-five years experience as a real estate paralegal in residential and commercial transactions. She specializes in the preparation of closing disclosures, settlement statements, title insurance policies, closing documentation and coordination of all post closing matters. Maureen has two sons and she resides in Pepperell with her husband and Italian Mastiffs. In her free time, she enjoys auctions, antiquing, hiking and watching football.
Michele joined the firm in October 2001. She has more than 30 years of experience as a residential and commercial real estate paralegal. For the past 13 years, she has assisted the firm’s estate planning attorney, Barbara Epstein, in preparing probate, trust and estate documents, working with clients to ensure that their requests are managed and met. She brings a keen attention to detail and multitasking skills to her work. Michele enjoys the company of family and friends, her cats and the outdoors.
Kristen Herrmann re-joined our firm in March of 2016 after having left back in 2005 to raise her family. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Rivier College in 1997. Kristen is our pre-closer in the residential real estate department. She interacts closely with lenders, buyers, sellers, brokers and attorneys to gather all of the necessary information and documentation required to complete the real estate closing process. Her goal is to ease our clients towards a seamless and satisfying purchase experience. She is married with 2 teenagers – a daughter and son, who keep her very busy outside of the office. She enjoys spending time with her family (including 4 cats) and friends, summers in Maine and New Hampshire as well as vacationing in Aruba and Florida. She is an avid New England Patriots fan.
Dan joined the firm in 2019 as a Legal Assistant, but has since completed his Paralegal Certificate with Boston University. He opens the purchase and refinance files, inputs the title report once completed, as well as any odd job around the office. He has also assumed the role of the firm's social media and marketing guru. Dan graduated from Acton Boxborough Regional High School in 2017 and has lived in Acton his whole life. He enjoys working on his fish tank and Jeep Wrangler and spending time with friends and family.
Barbara Logan joined the firm in May 2018 and has over twenty-five (25) years of experience as a real estate paralegal in commercial and residential transactions. Barbara is currently working remotely, part-time, assisting our staff as needed. In her free time Barbara enjoys spending her time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys painting and the creative arts as well as gardening and other creative pursuits.
Karen Goldovitz started her real state career with us back in 1992. She left in 1999 to pursue other avenues and to spend more time with her small children. She rejoined the firm in 2019 after a twenty-year absence. Karen has nearly thirty years’ experience in residential real estate, as well as commercial real estate, estate planning, estate administration, personal injury, litigation and corporate law. Karen specifically assists Attorney Scheier and Attorney Melon in all aspects of residential real estate, commercial real estate, corporate formation and maintenance. Karen is married with two grown children and lives in Auburn with her husband, three stepchildren and two ragdoll kittens. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking with her stepdaughter and crocheting. She is an avid Bon Jovi fan.
Laura Delorey re-joined our firm in November 2018. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University in 1985. Laura is our pre-closer for purchases and refinances in our real estate department. She interacts with all parties involved in the transaction to facilitate a seamless closing. She also handles recording and monitoring discharges. She is married with 2 grown children and lives in Westminster, MA. She enjoys competing at the masters level in swimming, having broken a world record in 2014. She teaches swim lessons from 6 months to any aged adult. She has competed in a few aqua-bike triathlons. In addition to these hobbies, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kelly Fruit joined our firm in October 2021 with over ten years’ experience as a paralegal. She graduated from MWCC in 2009 with her associates degree in paralegal studies. Her experience includes all aspects of the real estate closing, from purchase & sale drafting and review to handling post-closing matters. Kelly is also well versed in bankruptcy, estate planning, estate & trust administration, as well as landlord/tenant matters, although she says her favorite part of her job is helping the clients on their next adventure, whether it’s selling or buying their home. Kelly lives in West Boylston with her family and when she isn’t working, she likes to hang with her dog and watch true crime shows and football.
